The First Day
Siku Kwanza
Genesis
1: 1 – 5 Mwanzo 1: 1-5
In the
beginning God made heaven and earth.
Hapo mwanzo, Mungu aliumba mbingu na dunia.
At first it was empty and dark. But God made the light and
called it day.
Siku
ya kwanza dunia ilikuwa tupu na giza. Lakini Mungu akaumba mwanga na akauita “mchana”.
Then He made the darkness and called it night. God was
watching over everything.
kisha
akaumba giza na akaliita “Usiku”. Mungu
alikuwa akiangalia kila kitu.
What do you think God did
next?
Je, unafikiri Mungu alifanya nini baadaye?
The
Second Day
Siku
ya Pili
Genesis
1: 6 – 8 Mwanzo 1: 6-8
On day two, God
separated the air from the water.
Siku
ya pili, Mungu akalitenganisha anga na
maji.
He put some water
above the air and some below it. He named the air sky.
Aliweka
maji juu ya anga na chini ya anga. Mungu akaliita anga “Mbingu.”
The next day God made
something, many children like especially in the time of summer. Can you guess
what it is?
Siku
ya pili, Mungu akafanya jambo. Watoto wengi wanapenda
zaidi wakati wa kiangazi. Unaweza kukisia hii ni nini?
The
Third Day
Siku
ya tatu
Genesis
1: 9 – 13 Mwanzo 1: 9-13

The third day, God was
busy. He made puddles, oceans, lakes, waterfalls and rivers.
Siku
ya tatu, Mungu alikuwa na kazi nyingi. Akatengeneza vidimbwi, bahari, ziwa,
maporomoko ya maji na mito.
He made the dry ground
too.
Akafanya nchi kavu pia.
Next He made plants.
Baadaye akaumba mimea.
He made so many
different kinds of trees, flowers and bushes, that no one could count them all.
Akaumba miti tofauti, maua
na pori, kiasi kwamba hakuna anayeweza kuhesabu kwa idadi yake.
God said His work was
good.
WOW! God made so much
on that day. But can you guess what was missing?
Mungu akasema kazi
yake ilikuwa nzuri.
Jamani!
Mungu aliumba vitu vingi katika siku hiyo. Je unaweza kujua nini kilikosekana?
On Day four, God put
the Sun in the sky to warm the earth. He saw that the night was very dark, so
God put the moon and stars in the sky. Then God made spring, summer, fall and
winter. All that He made was good.
Siku ya nne, Mungu akaweka
jua katika mbingu kutia joto dunia. Yeye aliona hii usiku ilikuwa giza sana. Kisha aliweka
luna na nyota mbinguni. Baadaye Mungu alifanya majira, kiangazi, maporomoko na
kipupwe. Yote aliyoyafanya yalikuwa
mazuri.
The fifth day, God
made starfishes, octopuses, whales and turtles. He made fast little fish for
river and slippery big fish for the ocean. He made big birds like eagles to
soar in the sky and zippy little birds like parrots. He made birds in all
shapes, sizes and colors.
Siku
The
Sixth Day
Siku
ya sita
Genesis
1: 24 – 31 Mwanzo 1: 24-31
On day six, God made
the animals – puppies, cows, horses, kitties, elephants, giraffes, lions, deer,
sheep, monkey and lots more.
Siku ya sita, Mungu akaumba
wanyama – mbwa wadogo wadogo, ng’ombe, farasi, watoto wapaka, tembo, twiga, simba,
paa, kondoo, kima na wengine wengi.
Everything God saw
that it was good.
Kila
kitu Mungu akaona kuwa ni vyema.
But something was
still missing. There were no people.
Lakini baadhi ya vitu vilikosekana. Kwani hakukuwa na watu.
So God made some. And
when he made them, God said, “Let us make man in our image.” He made them so
they could be friends with Him.
Kisha Mungu akaumba watu,
Mungu akasema, “Tumfanye mtu kwa sura yetu.” Aliwaumba wao, ili wawe rafaki zake.
We are happy with God
forever.
Tunafurahi
na Mungu milele na milele.
